About Me
Read MoreAbout Me
I got my first camera, a Brownie Box Camera, at the age of 10 when I went on my first trip to the Smokey Mountains. I fell in love with Nature in the trees, rivers and mountains that I saw all around me. I became a 'snapshot' shooter! As I grew so did my love of Nature, God's canvas where He paints His Masterpiece. I always wanted to one day take oil painting lessons to capture forever on canvas what I saw with my heart and eyes. Time passed and though I always had a camera, I never became more than a 'snapshot' shooter!
Then in 2007 after a light morning shower I decided to take my small point and shoot camera and 'snap' some pictures of my roses that still had raindrops on them. When I emailed them to share with my daughter, I was amazed at the response I got back stating, "Mom, these are as good as Dad's pictures!" Now my husband is a talented and gifted photographer and can take great pictures of any thing, so this was the supreme compliment! What was so great about this comment was that just a couple of weeks before I had prayed and asked God to show me what my gift was that He had placed in me. This was the answer to that prayer! Within a week the Father's Creations was born and I became an artist who paints with a camera!
My love and passion for the art of photography and for learning to fine tune my gift grows stronger with each passing day! Now instead of putting the beauty I see all around me on canvas with paints and a brush, I am painting it with a camera and capturing moments and memories in time that tell a story forever!
The colors you see in my photos are the colors I see when I look at a scene. Did you know that the human eye sees 14 points of light (which affects color, depth of color, etc) and that a camera can only see/pick up 5 points. So, it makes total sense to me that what I saw when I was there in person was much more vibrant than what my camera captured. This is why I shoot in RAW and then draw out the colors that I saw with my own eyes!
WELCOME TO MY WORLD!
Welcome to my world of capturing the beauty of what I see all around me through my Daddy's eyes and heart! My love and passion for the art of photography is a continually growing and learning process. So are the photographs that I take. Look around, take your time and enjoy. It is my desire to share what I see and the different ways I see it! Again, welcome to my world!
Love and Blessings,
